Location

Kinloch Campsite is in Dunvegan in the north west of the Isle of Skye, part of the Inner Hebrides in the Highlands of Scotland. We are ideally placed for exploring the many sights and attractions of northern and central Skye. Many visitors also stay here on their way to the Outer Hebrides.

Getting here

You can get to Skye by the road bridge from the Kyle of Lochalsh which is free of charge. You can also take the historic Glenelg ferry, or the ferries from Mallaig or the Outer Hebrides.

If you want to take the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale then we recommend that you regularly check the CalMac website for changes or disruption to the sailings. You may want to consider the quicker but slightly longer route via Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye Bridge. There are no tolls on the bridge.

There are two-lane roads all the way to within a few hundred metres of the campsite.

Sat Nav

If you are using satellite navigation please check your route. Satnavs often route you via Mallaig and the ferry. If you are coming from the mainland and don’t want to go on the ferry then make sure that you go via Kyle of Lochalsh. Postcodes cover very large areas on Skye, so check it’s taking you to the right place!

Bus

There is a bus service to Dunvegan from Portree and a number of local taxi services.
